I want to give my mom a small tank with some pretty fish for mothers day.She’s told me that fish calm her down,so i thought it would be a nice present.Im going to use a small setup from Wallmart that comes with the little(2 gallon i believe) tank,hood,undergravel filter thing, airator,light,fake plant,ect. im getting gravel, a small filter, some decorations, and fish food. I already have aquasafe for the turtles. What type of fish should i put in it that wont dirty the tank too fast or die too easily? I am thinking of a couple small angelfish but i want some variety. What are some small, attractive, hardy fish that dont produce too much waste,dont need a tank heater, and get along with angel fish?I was thinking of some of the ones that glow. Would that work?Or can you put algae eaters or water snails in with angelfish?Or possibly a small koi? I know fish grow to fit the tank, so as long as I keep it to a few fish i should be fine as long as i keep them in a little tank forever.

I have at least 6 fry, they are in a tiny little tank with some peat at the bottom of the tank. The eggs are in a tea bag, I think there is around 20. I have many brine shrimp eggs hatching, should I feed the newly hatched killifish fry baby brine shrimp ? I have a spare 4 gallon, 2.3 gallon and 2 gallon tanks. Only the 4 gallon has filter heater but the 2.3 only has a heater and some small live plants. The 2 gallon has gravel and a live plant… Could I keep young killifish in those tanks at 2 or 3 weeks old… I have a 15 gallon tank with 4 pygmy puffer fish, a 95 gallon tank with tetra’s barb’s gouramis, livebearas, small chiclids also big and small catfish. Would they be okay in either of those tanks ? Also give tips on raising the fry. I got them as a present from Christmas, I left them for a week so most of the eggs mature. Everything on the manuel is crap I have only raised guppy platy Molly sowrdtail and dwarf goruami fry before! Please give tips and all the info I need about raising Killifish fry!

My son has a 5 gallon hexagon freshwater tank that previously housed a beta. I would like to have more than one fish in this tank so I don’t want to get another beta, but I do realize size limits my options. It is heated to 79 degrees, planted, has an airstone and some decorations, and has a bio filtration system. Any suggestion on some cool small fish that would work in this small tank? I don’t want guppies, neon or glowlight tetras, moons/platies, or sword tails because I already have these in my 35 gal. tank. I was leaning more towards a colorful cichlid, but most grow too big for this little tank. All suggestions are appreciated.
