im re-doing my aquarium, im planning on giving my current fish to my neighbor who has a really big tank. I have 29 gallons, a heater, a filter and a hood light to work with. I was wondering if i could put 2 or 3 or maybe even four freshwater angelfish in my tank. I want to have gravel and fack plants and decorations(i tried live plants and it is too much work now that im in high school) I was also wondering what other little fish or invertabrates and lil critters i could add.(i wouldnt put any other animals if i had 3 or 4 angelfish) im going for a symplistic modern-ish look. and i want the angels to be teh focus and the others to be like extras.
i would want plants that dont really need any subsrate cuz i woul dhave gravel. but i would consider using a liquid fertilizer, whats a good one? also any other very simple ways to help plants i have an eclipse f15t8 natural daylight flurescent tube in my hood light thing.

my veiw on modern is simplistic, white with bright colors and very clean looking and a lil edgy.

i just set up my 33 gallon aquarium about 2 days ago. and i ran a water test and test the same as my 55 gallon tank that has been set up for like 7 months now. so i put in my convict cichlid pair into the newly established aquarium, and now they’re doing fine with their 200ish babies. so is my 33 gallon aquarium cycled now? the water is crystal clear just like my 55 gallon. the convict cichlids have been in the tank for 2 days now, and they’re healthier than ever.

today im buying a 5 gallon birthing tank where i will transfer the female into the little birthing net catcher thingy. there also 2 floors in that birthing catcher so the female cant eat them. ok so i dont want her to start giving birth in my ten gallon cuz then most of them are gunna die. so whow do i kno when shes ready? she has a really black spot behind her belly.(but it only looks really black when the florescent light is on??) she looks a bit square ish but she isnt fat at all. i have a fatter female(by not to much though) that doesn’t have a dark gravid spot???

I fed my tropical community tank this morning (a 25ish gal hex) to find almost every one of my fish bloated BIg time… is the only disease that has bloating as a symptom dropsy? :- any one know of an effective treatment.. or is it too late…
I have 2 tiger barbs, 4 guppies, 1 betta, 2 plecos, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 small angelfish, 2 mystery snails and a bubble bee catfish and 5 platys… probably close to over crowding… but they really do have a lot of swimming room… and i am using the one inch of fish per gallon rule… please help!
their scales haven’t started to lift yet, and i have no pop-eye or any other symptoms. Thanks everyone for the great input, as for the plecos, I am just “growing them” for my moms pond so no worries! Water changes are usually twice a week and are at least 25%, sometimes more. Again thanks so much
For the person who suggested Maracyn 1 and 2, and salt, how much salt would you suggest adding to 25 gal?
