Hair algae problem in aquarium?
I have “hair algae” growing in my aquarium. It is not regular algae, and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I have plenty of plecos in the tank and they keep the regular algae gone, but I have never had hair algae before. Plecos do not eat it, algae treatments don’t kill it, I keep picking it off anything I see it growing on, but can not get rid of it. I have had aquariums for 28 years, so am not a novice. I even checked with the pet shops I know I can trust and both of them have been in business for 25-30 years and the owners nor workers know of any way to get rid of it.
