I’ve had my Oscar since Sunday and I’ve just been feeding it Hikari Gold cichlid pellets that I used to feed my Mbunas. What live food, aside from frozen, would be alright to feed my Oscar…and how often. =]

Well I had a Blue male Beta that I kept alive for 3 years. Everybody thought that was remarkable. And I just kept in in a big vase with a plant in it and sprinkled Beta food in it every day.

I had another Red Beta (looked alot cooler with like a crazy spiky looking fin) and kept it in the same vase but I had a smaller plant in it this time. But it only lived for about 5 months.

How long did YOU keep yours alive??

my pond if really really dirty and i havent gave my fish any food in a long time. i was cleaning out the leaves on the bottom and i notice i had babies. it winter and how is this. they are half inch long, how old you think they are? i dont add anything to my pond but food here and there. i used to but the keep dying so i stop and they are still alive. how is this? im starting back feeding them, what is something good for the babies? what can i use to clean my pond? dont know how many babies i have cause i cant see in the water!! that dirty!

how long does it take for a discus fish to reach its adult size and maturity, with all the right factors (right amount of food, water quality etc…)?

i have plecostomus food that is supposed to taste like algae… which the lace cats ignore. there is normal food flakes that floats on the surface for the platys and tetras, and cichlid granules for the firemouth and the red devil (yes yes… i know that the red devil and the platys shouldn’t go together but they are very different in size). when i feed the tank all the cichlid food floats to the bottom, and that is what my lacecats end up eating. is this ok?
