I’ve got a successful pair of breeding discus, i’ve them about two months but i had them in a tank with other fish. Though have just recently put them in their own tank a couple of days ago, just wanting to know if there are any signs that they will show like a day before or something before the female lays. Thanks for your replys

I was planning to go to NY for vacation. If i saw some fish i liked i was planning on bringin it back. /so if i was to get a $25 discus how would i bring it on a plane back to california. do i need to pay a tax? am i even allowed to? Where would i put it? With me on carry-on or in some hold?

Ok so my 29 gallon tank setup is: 1 angel, 1 discus, 4 panda corys, and 1 SAE. So, I have trouble keeping my pH at a good level for my fish and the guy said that the rock that I had in there could be making the pH higher. He convinced me to buy driftwood as it has an effect that helps keep the pH down. I spent 40 bucks on this driftwood, does it actually do the pH thing?
I don’t need to upgrade Mrs. Elizabeth K!!! It is perfectly happy where it is!

Does anyone know how to sex discus? I know there is no sure fire way to do it but has anyone had success doing it a certain way?

I have a 29 gallon tank with a discus, an angelfish, a Siamese algae eater, and 4 panda cories. I’m going to get rummy-nose, I know that they are schooling fish so how many should I get/could fit in my tank¿ By the way, the discus and the angelfish aren’t close to being full grown. I have pics of them. Also, my discus got this strange coloration in little spots, I don’t think that it’s ick because it almost looks like the color of a neon tetra. It also has little black spots on its face, all of the ones at the store had it, you can see it from the pis, but not the neon stuff. Also, I have a pic of one of my plastic plants, its has like brown edges, I also have 2 live plants, should I get rid of all of the plastic ones and get live? Thanks for all of your help!!!!! Answer as many Q’s as possible!
