How can I convence my parents to get me a duck when I already have 1 gerbil,4 mice and 1 goldfish?

I think popcorn is the best snack!
My sister thinks that Goldfish are the best snack!

Raised “pond” made with 4″ x 6″ treated timbers. It is 16 feet long X 4 feet wide x 3 feet deep. Almost entirely above ground so it took LOTS of rebar to reinforce such a long and deep box. I use the “skippy” type filter incorporated into the wooden half whiskey barrels at the far ends.The Quiet One Pump sits directly in the middle and pumps the water out to the barrels for complete recirculation. This design is pretty simple. I basically just extended my deck off of the back of the house 8 feet and then built a box-style water garden directly off of it. The treated lumber is lined and covered with a 40 mil pond liner and capped with non- treated and natural cedar boards. This project would have been much simpler if the land did not slope so much heading down towards the bayou. Though it is directly off of the house and deck, it drops off over 36 inches to the ground on the back of the pond. I would have preferred a safer ( less outward water pressure) depth of only 24 inches but the land slope is too great so I had to make it 36 inches to meet up with the level of the deck where I eat my breakfast each morning. (note the glass of OJ and the newspaper…..Lol) Note: Only goldfish, 1 koi, and 3 albino catfish actually live in here. The turtle has her own 1000 gallon “pond”.
