ok im gonna get a betta (siamese fighting fish) hopefully much like the one shown here.

I dont know what kind it is but i think it might be a super delta. i have a plastic tank that is 1-1.5 gallons. i need to know:
1) how much $ a good quality betta like the one in the pic would be?
2) how much $ some NICE gravel to fill the bottom of the tank would be?
3) what kind of food to get and how much it would cost 4 one container?
4) can i put plants and deco in the tank? if so, how much can i put without crowding?
5) more general info about the tank and the fish?
i will prolly get the fish at a good place where my dad gets all his fish but i will get assesories and other stuff at petsmart or petco. plz dont tell me that the tank needs a filter cuz my dad had a tank with a filter and the fish got stuck to it and almost killed!!!!! then he took the filter out and had the fish 4 a long time after that!
how about a jr heater?? how do they work? do they really heat??? will they be good 4 this size tank??? plz help?

I know you have to be patient because it may take some time but I’m just curious why they haven’t spawned yet. The water temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit, there are plants for her to hide, she’s ready, he’s ready and the tank they’re in is a 10 gallon. So what’s the problem?!? He can’t even catch her. She is really fast but he is only sorta fast. She examines his bubblenest then he chases her away. Sometimes she even destroys it! They both show interest in each other, but she mostly sits in a corner instead of in the plants I put in there for her. She doesn’t eat either. Is this normal??? If not, what’s wrong with them???
If age has anything to do with it, my female is 3-5 monthes old and my male is about a year and two months.
I’m not breeding them for money. I am going to keep them. I think it is horrible the way people store them. That is why I am not giving them to pet stores and/or Wal-Mart. The reason i bought my female betta was not to breed her. It only ended up that way. I got m y male from my Granny who is passed away now.
I have everything i need for the babies. I have a really big tank for the females and tons of medium tanks for the males. Plus I have this friend who really wants some fish so I am going to give her some betta. I don’t have any gravel in the tank and yes i have a filter.
I have already tried two other females. He hadn’t been as attracted to them as this one.
there are 6″ of water in my tank. i was on a betta breeder forum and they said 6″. the female shows signs she’s ready. she has vertical bars on her, her gravid tube is sticking out and she is swollen with eggs.

My betta looks sad, altough i feed it ,change and treat his water,and always give him light! why is he sad?

I’d like it if people would just give me more details, at least five long sentences. I would also like it how the fishes mate…. and lastly……….. I’d really like it if people wouldn’t say bad things on my question…. so answer, please. I’d really like one, and where can I put a tank in a townhouse full of furniture?

I’d like a blue betta fish…. if they’re put together, they’ll fight….. then how do they mate? I need more details, more. I’m deciding to buy one today with my dad, in koreatown…. any good places in koreatown, california where they sell tropical fishes? Otherwise, please answer with the most details you can put….. i know they’re beautiful
