Australian arowana or the silver one, is their a big difference except for the looks.
We have a 2 meter tank, but will get an even bigger one as the arowana grows.
What other fish can we put with it, maybe giraffe nose catfish.
How many arowanas can be kept together, roomer has it- either one or 10 together.
Also, if you know of a good website about arowanas, please let me know.

I bought a very small baby of Silver Arowana which is 2.5″ of size. I tried feeding blood worm but its not working. What food I should gave? & what should be the frequency and quantity..

I had these arowana for awhile… and his been eating hikari pellets and 2 feeder fish. But i was wondering if something is wrong with him because his always staying under my filter’s waterfall thingy. Sometimes he would swim around but most of the time his under the waterfall of the filter. Can someone explain why
i have an air pump in my tank and he is not crowded becuz my arowana is still a juvenile

i know they grow to 4 feet long but maybe it can wait a few weeks in there
rofl a 300 gallon tank is just unbelivable and i can just imagine how much i would have to spend, i think the oscar i have is good enough rather than having a 300 gallon tank i cant even clean.
btw hes healing very slowly and i think im seeing some of the white stuff changing into red and then some white flesh landed on my gravel but hes pretty much healing with the medicines i bought, the goldfish are now going to a pond in 3 days or 4, so now is one less problem, oh and my female convict jumped out of her tank for no reason, but she never got to breed because the male i had was too big for her size

its a legit True Blue Arowana, juvenile approx 6″

I have a 55 gallon aquarium, its measurements are: 48″ long x 13″ wide x 20″ high

He would be in there with a couple of full-sized silver dollars.

Is this Tank big enough?

Does it Need more/less tankmates? Which kind do you recommend?

Will a regular hood be ok or do I need to have a plexiglass slab with a cinder-block on top?

What do you feed yours (kind of feeders)?

Do you feed it just live or flakes/dried/pellets too?

Any other recommendations?

I am getting a 180 gallon this summer but the Arowana is available now. Can I keep a 6″ true blue in a 55gal for 4-5 months?
my friend works for an aquarium (I dont want to mention the name and get him in trouble) and is getting it for me. It is an Australian True Blue Arowana and they arent sold anywhere.
