We have a 75 gallon tank. We have silver dollars, a dwarf gourami, neon tetras, other misc tetras, 1 swordtail, 1 killifish, 3 platies, algae eater and african dwarf frog. What is eating our guppies????? Please any suggestions…

“other guppies”
it’s true! besides there are a few others that would devour them.
we had to separate the parent guppy from the fries other wise the
elder would eat the younger.

Guppies like the others say, and I am beginning to suspect the dwarf frog as well. I had once what I assumed was an eel that came with my tank but its wasn’t actually a fish but an caecilian, which is basically an amphibian shaped like an eel, and I found that although all my other fish were fine with each other, he was the main culprit with my missing fish. Amphibians are not above eating ANYTHING that can get in their mouths, they may look cute but if it fits, they will eat it.

Any of the fish that you named will eat any other fish that it can fit into it’s mouth, and that includes any fish that it can catch and chew into small enough pieces to eat. Guppies are a little small for the type of community aquarium that you describe.

Well probably some of your fish are becoming aggressive and it can be any one of those fish cause they do not get along together.
