I think you might be overfeeding….you fish’s food should never color or cloud your tank. Only feed them a few flakes at a time and wait for the fish to eat it, if it reaches the bottom before they eat it all, that’s too much. But yes, an arrowana needs to have a clean tank, I think as long as all your ammonia, nitrite, nitrates are fine, it doesn’t really matter what color the water is.
P.S. Arowana’s get pretty big and are aggressive. But they are definately cool lookin’.

Activated carbon will remove any colors. I am more concerned with your ammonia levels. Have you tested your water? That kind of overfeeding is going to induce an ammonia spike. Arowanas need very clean water, just like most fish. Use a siphon to vacuum out all the junk on the bottom, and take about 50% out while you are doing it. This will lower the ammonia.

I don’t know why your tank would need to be totally white. Water is clear, not white, if it is white, that’s a cloudiness generally associated with a bacteria bloom. If you are asking can it still see it’s food, oh yes. Just float some crickets on the top and see what happens lol. Avoid feeders please, too easy to get an unwanted pathogen. Arowana’s are fairly hardy fish but I’m not going to say you can lapse for a long time on maintenence. Generally speaking, if your Arowana starts to deteriorate due to bad water, you’d best act quick to reverse it. So don’t let it get to that point to begin with.

what sized tank
?
all fishes need to be kept n really clean water.
But arowanas can handle alittle dirty water, but ofcourse it isnt good for them. If your tank is to small you will need to upgrade and get a better filter system.
Try changing your food, as it is probably affecting your water quality. Also make sure ur filter can handlean arowana and tank size.

CHANGE YOUR WATER!
Arowanas don’t stay sm,all and they jump. You are a novice don’t get an arowana until you know how to take proper care of fish, bacteria and water in the tank.
