For the best results, make sure the tank has aeration and clean water. I used a 3 gallon. Once they hatch, you will need to feed them fresh hatched brine shrimp (also egg yoke squeezed through a cloth is another good food). Both make a mess, so you will have to clean the tank after each feeding. I made a small siphon from air tubing and a toothbrush head to do the cleaning.

yea this is their first time laying eggs, so i can simply seperate them by putting them in a seperate tank with the same temp?

If they are fertile (they don’t turn white from fungus after a day or so), they take about 7 days to hatch, if I remember correctly. Unless the parents have raised fry before, it is likely they will eat the eggs. If you want to save them, you should separate the eggs into their own tank.

My Angelfish just spawned nearly 250+ eggs on my filter, how long will it take for them to hatch, and they will be safe when hatched? The only other fish in my tank is 2 neons. Plz give me some other advice aswell, thanks!

Oh gosh! talk about a price increase! lol they turn around and sell them for what $5-7 a piece? Wonder if we’d do better trying to sell them online. Thanks for the info and good luck with future babies!!!:)

I couldn’t find any pet stores locally that would buy them (apparently there is already a local breeder), but a store in a neighboring city bought all 200, in 50 fish increments for about a quarter apiece.

Nice! I’ve 5 from my first batch (all that survived) This next batch I think I’m doing better, there are at least 100. Not sure how to go about selling though once that time comes. Thanks for answering!

I don’t think I saved the eggs in the video because I had 250 fry from the prior batch! I sold 200, gave away about 30, and have 4 large males left today (8/07).
