How do I remove Bristle worms from my aquarium?
I have a saltwater aquarium and I would like to remove my bristle worms without hurting my inverts or my fish. I also own a Coral banded shrimp that I bought just for that purpose. Any help?
no, I do not like them. I caught one around one of my peppermint shrimps and a pile of snail and hermit shells around it. I so far have lost: 3 peppermint shrimp, 5 blue leg hermits, and 4 snails. No, I do not like them.

i take it you just don't like them… they are actually good for the tank as they stir the sand and eat detritus
but lined wrasse (4, 6, 8, striated etc) aldabrensis dottybacks, and arrow crabs will eat bristleworms as will other types of wrasse and butterflies but they are not reef safe
another way is to put a peice of food into a nylon pantyhose and put that i the tank at night by morning you should fine a few worms stuck to it so you can remove them..
that way you don't have to have another mouth to feed

I had bristle worms in the tanks at the pet store i used to work at, and what we did was we got a couple of bristle worm traps per tank, and checked them twice a day and just kept re baiting and emptying them until we noticed the population go down. also what i would to if i was up to it was sit there with a pair of tweezers and turn off all the lights except the night light, (they usually come out at night) and i would kinda 1/2 bury a piece of fish food in the sand next to the tweezers, and when the bristle worms came to eat it i just pinched them out of the tank, i actually got rid of more that way then with the traps, but its way more time consuming
